A high-level Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) delegation led by Chief Yusuke Shinozaki visited the WASA Lahore Head Office to discuss future development projects and explore opportunities for mutual cooperation to mitigate urban flooding risks and improve the efficiency of the drainage system.Managing Director WASA Lahore, Ghufran Ahmed, welcomed the JICA delegation. \"\" \"\" \"\"During the meeting, discussions focused on urban flood prevention, stormwater management, the upgradation of disposal stations and machinery, and opportunities to enhance technical cooperation in future development projects.JICA Chief Yusuke Shinozaki appreciated WASA Lahore underground water storage tanks project aimed at preventing urban flooding and expressed interest in the initiatives being undertaken in this regard.MD WASA Lahore, Ghufran Ahmed, said that stormwater management and urban flooding were major challenges being addressed through various initiatives by WASA Lahore.
