A follow-up meeting on the decisions taken by the Drain Rehabilitation & Management Committee was held at the Planning & Development Board, Punjab.The Secretary P&D Board, Mr. Rafaqat Ali chaired the meeting. Representatives from key provincial departments and urban service agencies participated.
The session reviewed the progress on previously agreed actions related to drain rehabilitation, urban drainage management, and coordinated institutional response. Participants from departments including Irrigation, Housing & Urban Development, Local Government, Environment Protection & Climate Change, Industries, and specialized urban agencies such as LDA, LWMC, WASA, PHA, and others shared updates and discussed measures to improve drainage infrastructure, urban sanitation, and flood management preparedness.The meeting emphasized inter-departmental coordination and timely implementation of decisions to ensure efficient management of urban drainage systems and sustainable urban development across Punjab.
