* The 79th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held at the Planning & Development Board, Punjab* PDWP approved position papers of 21 development schemes across health, transport, tourism, irrigation, and drainage sectors* Major health sector initiatives approved, including cardiac surgery units, MRI machines, CT scan machines, cath labs, neuro cath labs, and emergency equipment for hospitals across Punjab* Eco-friendly and electric bus projects approved for Lahore and multiple divisions including Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi* Tourism development initiative approved for the construction of Sky Glass Bridge at Panjpeer Rocks, Tehsil Kotli Sattian, District Murree* Irrigation and water infrastructure schemes approved, including feasibility studies for headworks capacity enhancement, remodeling of Balloki-Sulemanki Link Canals, and drainage system improvement in Nankana, Hafizabad, and Faisalabad districts* Secretary P&D Board Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist P&D Board Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Members P&D Board, and concerned officers from different departments participated in the meeting* The approved schemes reflect the Government of Punjab’s commitment to improving healthcare access, sustainable transport, tourism promotion, and water resource management across the province
