Chairman P&D Board, Dr. Naeem Rauf, chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) a flagship initiative to develop a comprehensive database of households across the province.
The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali, CEO Urban Unit Mr. Omer Masud, Member SD Mr. Ali Amir, Chairman PITB Mr. Faisal Yousaf, CEO PSPA Mr. Ali Shahzad, DG Bureau of Statistics Mr. Sajid Rasul, Senior Chief RP Mr. Mahmood Ul Hassan, and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the Chair reviewed the status, detailed framework, implementation timelines, hiring process, challenges (bottlenecks), and the way forward.
Chairman P&D Board Dr. Naeem Rauf stressed the need for inter-departmental collaboration and stated that all relevant departments must work collectively. He instructed that the bottlenecks should be resolved on a priority basis and that the remaining hiring processes be completed swiftly. 
The Chair further remarked that PSER is a vital project that will enable data-driven decision making and strengthen social protection and welfare programs for the citizens of Punjab.
