Karachi Metropolitan University Celebrates 77th Independence Day with Newly Appointed Vice Chancellor
Karachi Metropolitan University (KMU) celebrated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a renewed sense of pride and commitment to excellence in higher education. The event marked a historic moment as Prof. Dr. Wasim Qazi, the first permanently appointed Vice Chancellor of KMU, officially took the helm.
The Independence Day festivities commenced with Dr. Qazi hoisting the national flag in the presence of university faculty, staff, and students. The solemn ceremony was a symbol of unity and patriotism, resonating deeply with the university community.
Following the flag-hoisting, a cake-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the occasion. The event was further enlivened by a series of student engagement activities, reflecting the vibrant spirit of KMU’s diverse student body.
In addition to the celebrations, Dr. Qazi met with KMU faculty members, where he received a comprehensive briefing on the university’s current state, achievements, and ongoing projects.
