Secretary P&D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, chaired a mid-review meeting of the National Health Support Program with the World Bank mission led by Senior Health Specialist Dr. Manav Bhattarai.

The meeting concentrated on a detailed review of Disbursement Linked Results (DLRs) and addressed feedback from the World Bank team.

The project objectives emphasize strengthening equitable delivery and quality of essential health services at the primary care level, supporting Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

However, the World Bank highlighted concerns regarding delays in DLRs timelines.

Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail emphasized the urgency to meet the targets and underscored that neglecting responsibilities will not be tolerated. He further said that the commitment to the timely completion of goals is vital for the program’s success.
