A high-level delegation of GIZ Pakistan, led by Dr. Nicolai Dellmann, Head of Projects, called on Secretary P&D Board, Mr. Rafaqat Ali, at the P&D Board.The meeting focused on two upcoming climate initiatives:1️⃣ Strengthening Climate Adaptation and Resilience in Pakistan (SAR II)2️⃣ Strengthening Climate Resilience through Promotion & Financing of Nature-based Solutions (NbS)🌱 These initiatives aim to implement local, resilience-building adaptation measures aligned with Pakistan’s climate policy placing special emphasis on nature-based solutions in the agriculture sector.The Secretary of the P&D Board highlighted that the Government of Punjab is actively promoting climate financing and noted that a dedicated Climate Finance Unit (CFU) has already been established within the P&D Board to assist government departments in accessing and managing climate finance.✅ Enhancing climate resilience✅ Promoting nature-based, locally grounded solutions
