Under the exceptional leadership of Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, the district administration successfully combated the disease, saving countless lives and alleviating the suffering of thousands. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the Deputy Commissioner’s skills, abilities, and result-oriented efforts, which have earned him widespread appreciation and recognition.

Lahore, once grappling with the debilitating grip of dengue fever, now stands as a testament to effective governance and unwavering commitment. This remarkable turnaround is a direct result of the exceptional leadership displayed by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, whose strategic vision, innovative approach, and unwavering dedication have transformed the district’s fight against this formidable disease.

At the heart of Deputy Commissioner Raza’s success lies his adeptness in effective governance. Faced with alarming statistics—19,198 suspect patients, 506 probable cases, and 475 confirmed dengue patients—he orchestrated a meticulously planned response to tackle the outbreak head-on. One of the most notable aspects of his leadership was the meticulous planning and execution of fogging activities across 66,617 spots, coupled with indoor residual spraying at 1,155,465 residential units. These measures were instrumental in eliminating 175,447 larvae, significantly reducing the mosquito population and curbing the transmission of dengue. A staggering 175,447 dengue larvae were found and destroyed, a testament to the relentless efforts of teams on the ground. 66,617 locations were fogged, creating a hostile environment for mosquito breeding. Indoor residual spraying was conducted in over a million residential units, significantly reducing the risk of transmission. These figures, coupled with the sharp decline in confirmed cases, paint a picture of a meticulously executed campaign that prioritised prevention and early intervention.

Moreover, his proactive stance was evident in the issuance of 168,464 warning notices and 6,982 FIRs, demonstrating a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence. The establishment of 37 District Emergency Response Committee meetings and 116 Tehsil Emergency Response Committee meetings ensured a coordinated and swift response, fostering collaboration among various stakeholders. Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Raza demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt and respond to emerging challenges. The campaign was not merely reactive; it was proactive. Warning notices were issued to 168,464 households, empowering citizens to take ownership of their surroundings and contribute to the fight against dengue.
