A high-level meeting was held today under the Chairmanship of Dr. Naeem Rauf, Chairman P&D Board, with senior representatives of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).The delegation was led by Cyrille BELLIER, Head of Asia, Middle East, and Europe, accompanied by Mr. Yazid Bensaïd, AFD’s Regional Director for South Asia and Country Director for Sri Lanka, and Mr. Baptiste Deniau, Country Officer for Pakistan.Discussions focused on ongoing development cooperation in Punjab, particularly in the areas of urban development, water sector strengthening, institutional reforms, and sustainable infrastructure planning.
Chairman Dr. Naeem Rauf appreciated AFD’s continued engagement and highlighted the Government of Punjab’s commitment to evidence-based planning and long-term service delivery improvements. Both sides expressed keen interest in further enhancing collaboration through structured policy dialogue and coordinated development interventions.
