Syed Zahid Aziz, Managing Director PMDFC, Attends World Bank’s WASH Conference in Islamabad.

Syed Zahid Aziz, MD – Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC), participated in the high-level WASH conference titled “Water for People: Advancing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Solutions for Health and Development,” held in Islamabad.

Organized by The World Bank, the conference brought together national and international experts to explore practical, scalable solutions to Pakistan’s pressing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) challenges. The event is part of the World Bank’s broader initiative under the Country Partnership Framework with the Government of Pakistan, which prioritizes reducing child stunting and promoting health through improved WASH interventions.

During the event, MD PMDFC highlighted the pivotal role being played by the PMDFC in collaboration with The World Bank, among others, in strengthening municipal WASH infrastructure and service delivery across Punjab. He emphasized PMDFC’s commitment to sustainable urban development and the critical link between effective WASH systems and public health outcomes.

His presence at the conference reaffirmed PMDFC’s commitment to driving inclusive and resilient urban development in line with the Government of Punjab’s vision and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
