Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated Clinic-on-Wheels Phase-II project. She formally launched the event by taking a short trip in the new state-of-the-art air-conditioned van of Clinic-on-Wheels. She arrived on the stage riding on the van of Clinic-on-Wheels. Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir drove the vehicle.
The Chief Minister handed over the keys of the Clinic-on-Wheels van to the CEOs of respective districts. She conducted a detailed inspection of the new vehicles available for Clinic-on-Wheels Phase-II project and also reviewed available medical equipment. She interacted with the doctors and medical staff as well.
She also inspected the list of available medicines, emergency food for patients suffering from malnutrition. She appreciated the services of the doctors and staff deputed for Clinic-on-Wheels project. She directed the doctors and staff to perform their duties with more diligence and dedication. She was accorded a warm reception upon her arrival at the Fortress Stadium to attend the ceremony. An informative documentary on Clinic-on-Wheels project was also shown at the ceremony.
The Chief Minister expressed profound happiness over the launching of more vehicles for Clinic-on-Wheels Phase-II project across Punjab. Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir apprised about details of the project. It was informed in the briefing that on the whole, 911 Clinic-on-Wheels will provide health services across Punjab.
9 Clinic-on-Wheels vehicles have been designated for the provision of healthcare services in the tribal areas of DG Khan. Clinic-on-Wheels project has so far provided health services to more than 1 crore patients. Clinic-on-Wheels vans will reach to every doorstep through the digital micro plan. Vaccination rate has increased to more than 90 percent due to Clinic-on-Wheels and other health related projects.
