Dr. Naeem Rauf, Chairman P&D Board, Punjab chaired the Provincial Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting for approval of the Annual Work Plan of the project “Up-Scaling of Green Pakistan Programme” .Secretary Forest & Wildlife Department Capt (R) Tahir Zafar Abbasi, briefed the chair about the updated status of the project and proposed work plan for the coming year.
The Chair directed the department to develop a comprehensive plan for establishing permanent nurseries to provide plants at low cost to other government departments .The chair also emphasised that all planned activities should be designed and implemented within the available financial and institutional resources, ensuring efficiency, prioritization, and optimal utilization of public funds.Furthermore , the Chair advised the department to prepare a consolidated master plan for the coming year, with clearly defined roles, timelines, and performance indicators, while ensuring active participation and alignment of all stakeholders for improved implementation and long-term impact.Secretary P&D Board Rafaqat Ali, Secretary Forest & Wildlife Department Capt (R) Tahir Zafar Abbasi, Director General Forest Mr. Mubeen Ilahi, and officers from other relevant departments & P&DB participated in the meeting.
