*CM Punjab says development focus extends to all 41 Punjab districts*

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said the province’s development focus was no longer limited to any particular city but extended to all 41 districts.Speaking at a meeting with members of the Punjab Assembly and ticket-holders from Multan, she said development projects were being planned for the first time according to population ratios.The chief minister said modern green electric buses had been introduced in far-flung areas of Punjab before being launched in Lahore. She also said a cancer ablation machine imported from China had been installed at Nishtar Hospital, Multan, after its introduction at Mayo Hospital, Lahore, and treatment had already begun.She said the machine would provide non-surgical cancer treatment not only to patients from Multan but also to those from other provinces.The meeting discussed development projects and public issues in Multan. The lawmakers thanked CM Punjab for the construction of the Jalalpur Pirwala and Noraj Bhutta flood protection embankments in a record time.The chief minister agreed to a proposal for construction of a bridge over the Chenab between Shujaabad and Khan Garh and directed the authorities to examine a proposal for converting the existing jail site into a public park. She also ordered expansion and redesigning of Khanewal Road.The chief minister directed that lawmakers be kept involved in development projects in their respective constituencies until their completion.The lawmakers expressed support for the chief minister and praised her government’s development and law-and-order measures. They said the benefits of development had started reaching the people and described the government’s flood response and measures against land-grabbing groups as significant steps.They said Punjab had emerged as an example of development and that the chief minister had taken a lead in the province’s development.
