Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali chaired a meeting with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Mission led by Mr. Shingo Kimura, Senior Agriculture Specialist.The meeting focused on the
𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐛 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 aimed at:✅ Developing a sustainable business model for advanced farm mechanization through professional service providers.✅ Strengthening institutional capacity by developing testing codes and standards, and establishing the first farm machinery testing center in Pakistan.✅ Promoting modern farm machinery and supporting the local industry.✅ Introducing a just transition lens, with a focus on cushioning women most vulnerable to mechanization-driven job losses and enhancing their skills.Secretary P&D Board assured the Mission that the P&D will provide fast-track support in the project approval process👥 Member Agriculture Mr. Aslam Javed, Special Secretary Agriculture Mr. Agha Nabeel Akhtar, and representatives of ADB and the P&D Board also participated.
