Safa Quetta Assumes Full Control of Cleanliness Operations Across Quetta City

In a significant move aimed at improving urban sanitation, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, and Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan officially launched the expanded operations of Safa Quetta, now covering Zones 2, 3, and 4 of the city. The inauguration ceremony was attended by provincial cabinet ministers, Quetta MPAs, and senior government officials, marking a strong commitment to elevating the city’s cleanliness.

Previously responsible for only Zone 1, Safa Quetta has now taken charge of all four zones of the city. To support this expansion, the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation has transferred 65% of its operational machinery to Safa Quetta, ensuring the initiative has the necessary resources to succeed.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti praised the efforts of Commissioner Quetta Division/Administrator Metropolitan Corporation Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat and reaffirmed the government’s unwavering support for the project in transforming Quetta into a model city of cleanliness and sustainability.

The expanded operations underlines the provincial government’s dedication to addressing long-standing issues of waste management and urban cleanliness. By consolidating efforts under Safa Quetta, authorities aim to create a cleaner, healthier environment for the citizens of Quetta.
