PMDFC Hosts World Bank Delegation to Discuss Progress on Punjab Cities Program and Upcoming Initiatives including Punjab Inclusive Cities Program (PICP)

Mr. Abedalrazq Khalil, Practice Manager Urban and Land in the South Asia Region at the World Bank, visited the head office of the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC). He was accompanied by Ms. Shahnaz Arshad, Senior Urban Specialist, and Mr. Suhaib Rasheed, Senior Urban Development Specialist. While Ms. Amena Raja (Senior Urban Specialist and Team Leader), Mr. Carlo Alberto Amadei (Water Specialist), joined meeting through video link.

The visiting delegation was received by Syed Zahid Aziz, Managing Director PMDFC, along with his senior team comprising Mr. Mahmood Masood Tamana (GM ID), Mr. Adnan Nisar Khan (GM Engineering/DPD PCP), Mr. Muazam Jamil Malik (SPO ID), Mr. Nauman Akhter (SPO FM) and Syed Amir Mahmood Shah, PO GIS.

The meeting focused on key updates regarding the implementation progress of the Punjab Cities Program (PCP). Discussions also encompassed the upcoming Punjab Inclusive Cities Program (PICP), which is currently in the preparation phase. The PMDFC team briefed the World Bank representatives on the achievements, ongoing challenges, and institutional strengthening measures under PCP, while also exploring avenues of collaboration for the successful rollout of the PICP.
