Punjab Home Department Issues Guidelines for Special Arrangements to Celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)

The Government of Punjab will celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious devotion, respect and dignity. In this regard, the Punjab Home Department has issued detailed guidelines for special arrangements across the province. According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department, Sabeels will be established along the routes of major Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions across the province. Major and prominent buildings, banks and offices will be illuminated with green lights. Milad gatherings will be organized in all public and private schools on Tuesday, August 25, corresponding to 11 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Symposiums will also be organized to mark the occasion. According to the spokesperson, sweets will be distributed among prisoners in Punjab’s jails to commemorate the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Home Department has directed that special attention be given to promoting peace, tolerance, harmony and unity on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). The Punjab Home Department has further directed all concerned authorities to ensure strict and complete implementation of the security guidelines issued for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) to ensure the best possible security arrangements. According to the spokesperson, letters containing the instructions have been issued to Deputy Commissioners and District Police Officers (DPOs) across Punjab, directing them to ensure implementation of the guidelines.
