LWMC Ensuring Top-Notch Cleanliness in Data Ganj Bakhsh Town

The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMCI) has activated its cleaning teams across the city to ensure the maintenance of a top-notch cleanliness system. Cleaning operations are ongoing in various parts of Lahore, including the Data Ganj Bakhsh Town, where over 2,000 workers and more than 350 operational vehicles are contributing to the cleanliness efforts. Additionally, 148 loader rickshaws have been deployed to collect waste from door-to-door in the town. As part of the special cleanliness measures, LWMC has successfully cleared open plots and over 20 hotspots in Data Ganj Bakhsh Town. Special cleaning operations were also conducted around the Secretariat, Sanda Road, Chauburji Chowk, DC Office, Outfall Road, Data Darbar, Lakshmi Chowk, and China Chowk. The cleanliness process continues uninterrupted in other areas, including Gawalmandi Chowk, Nisbat Road, Shimla Pahari, Lower Mall, Latif Road, Ferozepur Road, Shadman, and Lawrence Road. The Shadman temporary collection point is being regularly maintained to ensure zero waste on a daily basis. According to the LWMC CEO Babar Sahib Din, under the vision of CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the ongoing special cleanliness activities are part of a phased plan for Lahore’s 9 towns. He urged citizens to support the LWMC teams in keeping their surroundings clean by disposing of waste properly in dustbins.
