Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a high-level meeting on development projects in Islamabad at the CDA Headquarters. During the meeting, it was decided to appoint Project Directors for all major projects in the federal capital.Addressing the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that appointing a dedicated Project Director for each project will help improve progress and ensure timely and quality completion.During the meeting, the plan to make Gandhara Club fully functional was also reviewed. It was decided to provide various sports and recreational facilities at Gandhara Club. The forum agreed that the facilities at Gandhara Club would surpass those available at existing clubs.
Mohsin Naqvi said that modern facilities such as Top Golf and Go-Karting would be introduced to bring innovation to the club. He added that the modern Gandhara Club, equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, would become a key attraction in the federal capital.During the briefing, it was informed that the topographic survey of Gandhara Club has been completed. The meeting also reviewed progress on the construction plan for the new Convention Centre. The Interior Minister directed that a comprehensive plan for the new Convention Centre project be submitted.Mohsin Naqvi further directed CDA to prepare an alternative plan for the CDA Hospital, ensuring better healthcare facilities for its employees.During the meeting, the progress on projects including Margalla Road’s extension up to the Motorway, development of various sectors, and construction of hotels and a cricket stadium were also reviewed.Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed that the pace of work on all public welfare projects in Islamabad be accelerated.The meeting was attended by the Chairman CDA, IG Islamabad Police, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, and other senior officers.
