The Director General of the Walled City of Lahore Authority visited the historic Shalimar Gardens in Lahore on 13.03.2026 to review the progress of ongoing conservation and development works. During the visit, the DG inspected various restoration and improvement activities being carried out at the site.
The Director Conservation and Deputy Director Conservation briefed the DG on the current status of works, including conservation of historic structures, flooring repairs, landscaping, and improvement of visitor facilities. These initiatives are part of WCLA’s broader effort to preserve the Mughal-era heritage complex and enhance the visitor experience. The DG directed the concerned officers and contractors to ensure quality work, strict compliance with conservation guidelines, and timely completion of the ongoing projects.
