UNDP briefs Additional Chief Secretary GB on TIAEWS Project

A meeting was held in Gilgit between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) National Project Manager, Mr. Fahim Ahmed, officials of the Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme (GBRSP), and the Additional Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Mr. Riaz Ahmed, to discuss the progress and implementation of the "Tailored Intelligence for Actionable Early Warning Systems” (TIAEWS) Project under the E-Care Program. The project is being implemented by UNDP and GBRSP with financial support from China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary was briefed on the project’s objectives, implementation strategy, and its role in strengthening emergency response mechanisms for vulnerable communities. The contributions and timely implementation efforts of the Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme were also highlighted in detail.The Additional Chief Secretary appreciated the efforts of the implementing partners and assured his full support for the timely completion of the project, emphasizing its positive impact on vulnerable communities across Gilgit-Baltistan.
