Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited the headquarters of China’s renowned Tyren Wisdom Dairy Company in Xinjiang on Thursday and toured various sections of the Tyren Wisdom Dairy Works.The chief minister was warmly received by the company officials upon her arrival at the headquarters, where she was given a detailed briefing on various stages of milk processing.Maryam Nawaz also conducted a digital inspection of the milk processing process and was briefed on the different stages involved. Experts briefed her on the preparation of various milk products.The officials said Tyren Wisdom Dairy Works is known for modern dairy farming in different regions of China. Livestock at its farms is raised in accordance with animal health and hygiene standards, while milk, yoghurt and other dairy products are processed using modern techniques.The chief minister said projects aimed at improving and promoting the livestock sector in Punjab were yielding positive results.She said special projects for the financial empowerment of rural women and livestock breeding were being successfully implemented. Livestock was also being fattened and prepared for meat production, she added.Maryam Nawaz said Punjab wanted to establish a milk and dairy processing project in collaboration with China.
