CEO LWMC Sheryar Arif Khan, continued his surprise field visits to maintain an exemplary sanitation system across Lahore. He visited Data Ganj Bakhsh Town to check workers’ attendance and sanitation arrangements. He also reviewed manual sweeping and waste collection activities in commercial markets and checked the attendance points of Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore teams at Lahore Museum, Corporation Chowk and Outfall Road. CEO Sheryar Arif Khan gave UC supervisors a 24-hour ultimatum to ensure 100% beat-wise attendance of workers. He also said surprise beat-wise checking of workers would continue under Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Suthra Punjab vision to provide citizens with the best sanitation facilities. Moreover, waste clearance in all commercial markets is being ensured early in the morning, while more than 3,000 LWMC loader rickshaws are ensuring door-to-door waste collection. He said providing citizens with a clean environment was the top priority. He also urged citizens to hand over waste to Suthra Punjab teams visiting their homes instead of throwing it in streets and neighbourhoods.
