Gilgit [July 30] The Finance Department of Gilgit-Baltistan has released a sum of 1.5 billion rupees under the Chief Minister’s Assistance Package, providing long-awaited relief to the families of 504 deceased government servants. This payment addresses a longstanding issue that had remained unresolved since 2015.
Pursuant to the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Haji Gulbar Khan, formal approval has been granted to disburse the amount to the next of kin of 502 government employees who passed away during their service. The payment will be made in a phased manner to the families of all employees who are eligible under the Assistant Package 2015.
This release of funds demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting the families of deceased government servants and ensuring that they receive the assistance they deserve.
