پنجاب اسمبلی میں قائمہ کمیٹی برائے لوکل گورنمنٹ و کمیونٹی ڈویلپمنٹ کی میٹنگ محمد اشرف رسول، ایم پی اے کی زیرِ صدارت منعقد ہوئی۔ خرم خان ورک، پارلیمانی سیکرٹری برائے لوکل گورنمنٹ و کمیونٹی ڈویلپمنٹ، امجد علی جاوید، ایم پی اے، احمر بھٹی، ایم پی اے، اور علی حیدر گیلانی، ایم پی اے نے خصوصی طور پر اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔ ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری ڈیپارٹمنٹل کمیٹیز-II عامر لیاقت چھٹہ، سیکرٹری لوکل گورنمنٹ، ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر لاء اور دیگر افسران بھی اجلاس میں موجود تھے۔اجلاس میں پنجاب کمیونٹی جسٹس (پنچایت) بل 2025 پیش کیا گیا۔ یہ بل مختلف سماجی مسائل کے حل سے متعلق ہے جنہیں کسی بھی مقدمہ بازی میں جانے سے قبل مقامی سطح پر حل کرنا ضروری ہے۔ محکمہ نے بل کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے دو ماہ کا وقت طلب کیا، جس کے بعد یہ بل دوبارہ کمیٹی کے سامنے پیش کیا جائے گا۔بعد ازاں پنجاب لوکل گورنمنٹ بل 2025 کی کئی شقوں پر غور کیا گیا اور ارکان نے ان پر کچھ ترامیم تجویز کیں۔ باقی شقوں پر کل ہونے والے اجلاس میں غور کیا جائے گا۔
the meeting of the Standing Committee on Local Government & Community Development was held at the Punjab Assembly under the chairmanship of Muhammad Ashraf Rasul, MPA. Khurram Khan Virk, Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government & Community Development, Amjad Ali Javaid, MPA, Ahmer Bhatti, MPA, and Ali Haider Gillani, MPA, specially attended the meeting. Additional Secretary, Departmental Committees-II, Amer Liaqat Chattha, Secretary Local Government, Additional Director Law, and other officials were also present at the meeting.During the meeting, The Punjab Community Justice (Panchayat) Bill, 2025 was presented. The bill addresses various social issues that need to be resolved at the local level before proceeding to litigation. The department requested two months for the review of the bill, after which it will be presented before the committee again.Later, several clauses of The Punjab Local Government Bill, 2025 were discussed, and members suggested some amendments. The remaining clauses will be discussed in tomorrow’s meeting.
