Lahore: Punjab Minister for Health and Population Khawaja Imran Nazir held a meeting with World Food Programme (WFP) Country Director Miss Coco Ushiyama.The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in health, nutrition, and community welfare.The Minister briefed the WFP delegation on key provincial initiatives including the Clinic on Wheels Project, the Nutrition Support Program, and the Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.He said these projects aim to provide quality healthcare and nutrition services at the grassroots level.Khawaja Imran Nazir stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the government is committed to improving healthcare access and tackling malnutrition.He emphasized that collaboration with international partners like WFP is vital for achieving sustainable health goals.
Miss Coco Ushiyama appreciated Punjab’s health initiatives and reaffirmed WFP’s support for expanding joint efforts.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation for a healthier and nourished Punjab.
